This blog concerns the Virtual Friendship Quilt being created by the Asian Studies Project at East Carolina University. Contents will be drawn from contributions made by owners of Asian textiles who lent them for use on the Asian Studies web site.
After he had defended his thesis, maybe after he had already received his degree, one of my graduate students from Japan came to my office with a gift. Bowing as the Japanese do, he extended toward me a gift wrapped in this scarf. [SDH]
