Chinese Dress

This is a modern version of the traditional Qi Pao dress. It was bought in 2006 in Beijing in a small boutique in the Hou hai area, an area of Lakes in the center of the city north of the Forbidden City (the emperor’s palace). It is made out of cotton stretch meant to be tight, with a back zipper instead of traditional openings below the right shoulder, has very small sleeves and cut-outs below the neck.
