This blog concerns the Virtual Friendship Quilt being created by the Asian Studies Project at East Carolina University. Contents will be drawn from contributions made by owners of Asian textiles who lent them for use on the Asian Studies web site.
This cotton jacket is part of the traditional dress of the Jino minority women who live in southern Yunnan province. It was bought from a Jino woman near Xishuangbanna in February 1991.
